Elton Luis Medang

Elton Luis Medang was born in Malabo (Equatorial Guinea) in 1993 and raised in Spain since childhood. He currently resides in Valencia.

At the age of 17, while living in the second largest city in his native country (Bata, Equatorial Guinea), he began creating artistic projects in Bata (Equatorial Guinea) with the support of the Spanish Cooperation and the Spanish Cultural Center of Bata (CCEB). This was one of the first modern dance projects in Equatorial Guinea. The project's objective was to promote the potential of Equatorial Guinean youth through urban dance. His training focused on studying electro dance; all the information he has gathered has been learned on the street, thus immersing himself in the urban culture of electro dance. He has collaborated/worked with organizations such as Electro Hope BCN, Valencia Hype, and Club Mutante, organizing cultural activities.

He began his training with the Beat Mode Crew collective, where he learned the basics of electro dance. Shortly after, he participated in various workshops held in Barcelona and Paris, learning from dancers such as Brandon Masele and Tomofey Smirnov. Developing his artistic practice in the field of urban dance and the arts as a dancer, choreographer, researcher, teacher, activist, and graphic artist, he shares dance as a free art that is not confined to a single path, using it as a tool that can connect people's minds with their inner selves.
